records i just couldn't live without
this blog will shortly begin to include some musical stuff that happened in the early 90's.
the main reason being that i want to talk about my favourite ever gig and that was in manchester in the early 90's.
though i won't be drifting away from the 80's altogether, it seemed like a nice idea to make a list (because i'm anal like that) of the records i bought during that decade that i couldn't live without.
obviously this is for my own enjoyment more than yours.
i couldn't possible start to put them in order of very favourite to least favourite - that'd be impossible - so they're in order of the year they were released.
i bought some of the earlier ones later of course, though still in the 80's.
anyway, here's a list of LPs and cassettes that i just couldn't live without.

Wow, quickly counting I have about 30 of these... very few of which I've played in the last 15 years I have to add though. Rattlesnakes? Hmm, time for a re-evaluation perhaps...

great list. To make it even better, you should make a mix or two from these (:

ah, you're psychic.
the plan was for the next couple of comps to be made up from these 2 lists.

quite an excellent list...most would be on my list! being so close to Manchester, you should check out "Script of the Bridge" by The Chameleons.

Lots of my favourites in there! I'm JUST discovering early Prefab Sprout, only took me 2 decades to get 'round to it, the "Lions In My Garden" single is excellent & I'm hoping Swoon will work it's magic on me after a few more plays...
